Through proactive mitigation, we manage the forest for density, structure, age, and type that effectively mitigates the intensity of a burn. Firewise will treat properties in a manner that reduces the impact of beetles on that property. We will remove current beetle infested trees through logging activities, spray non-infested trees to protect them from future beetle impact, and implement forest protection through the manipulation of beetle pheromones.

Firewise will implement reforestation plans with the objective of restoring forest inventories. Firewise crews will install large acre plantings, landscapes, ponds, roads, water systems, and electric services.

Firewise treats properties for control of invasive, non-native species. We use prescribe burns, herbicidal treatment, and native grass stand restoration measures to our managed properties to create a mosaic of healthy forests and healthy range lands.
